FAQ
Is there any chance your products are toxic or potentially harmful?
Health and Sustainability are our core tenants, so we've made sure to do the most we could to source raw ingredients that are both as natural as possible and free from all the nasty chemicals that can disrupt your hormones or cause adverse effects to your health.
Our products are all Paraben, Phthalate, Palm, GMO, and Paraffin free!
Do you test your products? Are they safe to use in the home?
We've spent months (and over 5000 hours of burns) rigorously testing our candles for flame and wick behaviour, scent throw, vessel heat and burn time to ensure that you'll receive a powerfully scented candle that is clean and safe.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Please send us an email at inbox@aetherco.store within 1 hour of order placement and we'll do our best to help.
Do you offer gift wrapping or gift receipts?
At the moment, regretfully this isn't a service we can offer.
However, if this is something you would have been keen to have, please do let us know your feedback so we can ascertain whether we should in future!
Orders
What are your shipping options?
At the moment, we offer standard domestic delivery within the UK and International delivery to most countries in the world.
Regretfully, at this time, due to recent GPSR regulations, we're unable to ship orders to the EU.
When will my order be shipped?
As all products are handcrafted in small batches, we take a few days processing time (1-3 working days) before your order is dispatched.
You'll receive your shipping confirmation email as well as tracking info once it's left our Cotswold Studio!
What is your returns policy?
If products arrived damaged or you believe them to be faulty in some way, we're certainly happy to provide an appropriate refund once that is evidenced.
Otherwise, please get in touch with us at inbox@aetherco.store to clarify your return request, and we'll advise if a return can be processed.
About Us
What are your brand values?
At AetherCo, the reasons we started the brand (outside of sharing our passionate love of fragrance) were to create products that brought joy and inspired boldness in people's lives.
We care about authenticity, transparency, efficacy and most importantly, both your health and our beautiful, bountiful planet. Everything we do, and everything we create is in service to those ideals.
You shouldn’t have to sacrifice your health or safety to enjoy a beautiful candle. Everything that goes into our products are tried, tested and certified not to bring harm to you or yours.
Certified non-toxic by official EU standards.
Are Your Raw Ingredients Sustainably Sourced?
All of our raw ingredient suppliers are vetted for their sustainability credentials so we can ensure we're doing our due diligence from start to finish!
Our products and packaging are also designed to be completely plastic free and made from either recycled, recyclable or compostable materials. All paper and boxes are FSC certified and our cotton wicks are RAL certified.
From ingredient sourcing to transport, product design to packing materials; it’s integral to our brand to ensure that we’re doing our best not to leave the world worse than we found it.
Does AetherCo follow any specific ethical guidelines in ingredient sourcing?
We do our utmost to ensure that the bulk of our raw ingredients and components are sourced in the UK and/or produced in the EU -- both for regulation purposes (to ensure the highest compliance and sustainability ordinance) and for quality assurance.
However, the Organic Coconut Oil that we use in our wax blend is sourced ethically and fair trade from South-East Asian countries and usually, from indigenous farmers! This is something we're particularly happy to be a part of.
How do you ensure you’re not contributing to the negative effects of overconsumption, waste production and the resultant impact on our planet?
For (almost) every single consumable good we use in our business, we've chosen suppliers, manufacturers and producers that align as closely as possible with our sustainability goals and endeavours. There's no point in regularly working with and financially supporting companies that refuse to acknowledge their impact on our environment.
We all have to work in tandem to make a better future (especially when our government leaders care more about themselves and their pockets than our planet!). In 2025, there's absolutely no reason not to try and be as sustainable and climate conscious as possible.
